Don't Believe the Hype About Shady ZERO-REZ

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

The Zero-Res tech arrived 1/2hour outside the window agreed upon, he spent another 1/2 hour trying to upsell more services I didn't need, then attempted to collect a "trip charge" that was never mentions in my initial call to their Dispatch unit. After Zero- Res was done cleaning our carpet, it took a full three days for it to dry and the results were NO better than anyone we ever used before. Zero Res is a very dishonest firm, stay away from them!

Rude Technician

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have been a customer of theirs for 10 years. The customer service I received from the technician was incredibly rude and inappropriate.

He was lazy, at best. I don't know why a company could hire, much less send out such a kid, to service their clients (He actually said he needed to stop cleaning my carpet and go off to the next house, cause he didn't want to be too exhausted for his next job).

I would not recommend this company any longer. You pay a lot of money for a poor job.

Double-Charged For Car Wash

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

On Saturday, 15 Jun 2019, I used the automatic car wash at the Arizona Auto Spa (a business owned by Zerorez) at 8687 E. Golf Links Road in Tucson, AZ.

The wash took my credit card swipe and then charged me twice for a $9.00 wash. I called the number posted at the car wash several times beginning that day, all the way to Weds, 18 Jun 2019. Each time, I left a message. Each time, no message was returned.

I finally texted the number. The reply was "why don't you come on down and I'll give you a free wash?".

Like I needed a free wash after having had a wash on Sat (when I lost the $9, mind you). Wouldn't recommend this place unless you want to lose money and you have a thing for poor customer service.

I called because they are always advertising on the radio. my quote was for $264.00, by the time they left it was $1164.00 and i have terrible brown stains all over.

They are a fraud. they bring their own water which they never tell you is $60.00 a gallon, really for water!

they tell you super easy to get your stains out, but really super easy to scam you! The regular treatment is just spray chemicals on your carpet then vacuum off. then they tell you they can get pet stains out with the special 'extraction' which is bank account extraction. I rated them a 0, so some poor guy at the head office in MN calls you and argues with you the whole time, then promises to have the local manager call you to discuss (which you never get a call) they also off to come back out to get the brown stains they caused out, but he acknowledged you will be charged for whatever water they have to use when they come back out.

so you get ripped off again. who knows how much more, of course I refused.

I contacted my bank to dispute the fraud charges. I'm telling everyone I know posting all over media to prevent someone else this headache.

Carpet price and rip off

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I had zerorez out to clean my carpet and they advertise on tv 3 rooms and a hallway for $139. Well when the guy came out there was a service charge of $15 for booking the appt.

Then he said my master bedroom was too big to be considered 1 room and he would have to charge me an additional $20.

This place is a joke! I will never use them again nor will i refer anyone to use them!

I very sorry for your bad experience. I think I was the tech that cleaned your carpet.

If so.

You said we did a great job and you wanted us to clean some of your rentals. If this sounds like the job I did, please contact us and we will make it right!!

Guest

Hmmm thats crazy since it says a free in home estimate??? So why a charge for booking online??

Maybe its better to call. So if masterbedroom is too big and charge extra wonder if they dont need to do the whole room would charge less LOL.

Guest

I used them too and their product is deceiving. My carpets were not clean at all.

I then had to call Stanley Steemer to come and do it right. Blasting water is really not a convincing method of cleaning soiled carpets.

They say that their cleaning method is far superior to other companies, but I found that to be a farce. I will never use them again.

Horror

WARNING! WARNING! USER BEWARE!

THE FOLLOWING CAN HAPPEN TO YOU TOO!

You cant make this stuff up!

Is there a minus rating star?

I heard an advertisement on WSB radio regarding Zerorez. So, based on the reputation of WSB radio I decided to contact Zerorez to clean my carpets. Living room, dining room, one bedroom, hallway and stairs.

Here is where the horror story begins.

They arrived on time and set up their cleaning equipment and did the carpets. I was told it would be dried in about 6 hours. Well, after 24 hours I realized the carpets were completely soaked. I called them back and they brought a few fans in a feeble attempt to dry all the carpet. After 72 hours, the carpet was still wet and I began to smell a horrible odor. I called them back and they sent a water restoration person to determine conditions. Prior to that I purchased fans and in a few days 24 hours a day had dried out the carpet. He found the carpets now dry. He did not check all the rooms. Zerorez now told me the carpets are dry. However, they would not address the stink!

As a result of my complaint to them of stinking carpets they sent an environmental specialist for mold investigation. Zerorez called to inform me that there was no airborne mold detected. I told them that is all wel and fine but what about the stink of entire carpet. Environmental specialist told them definite stink on stairs only. I told them all carpet stinks to varying degrees. Now get this, they wanted to send another evaluation company. Finally I said enough is enough. I will not take a day off of work for your third person to say no mold no moisture. I TOLD THEM IRREGARDLESS OF YOUR FINDINGS MY CARPET STILL STINKS.

Do you see what is going on here?

For soaking my carpets they should have done the right thing and replace the entire foul stench carpet.

I asked them for my $300.00 refund. They never even considered to refund my money or they would have made the offer.

My last conversation with them is I would inform as many people as a can of this absolute horror story. Bottom line here is my carpets stink.

During this whole process it was like my fault.

All I did was call them as a recommended by WSB radio to clean my carpets. Now I am left as the victim.

Please let all your friends know. THIS CAN HAPPEN TO YOU TOO AND YOU WILL BE WRITING ONE OF THESE TOO!

By the way, sassy customer service.

I will post this consumer warning on as much social media as I can to warn people so some poor soul does not have to be humiliated as I do from this incident.

I will also post this on the WSB radio site and I am about ready to send through their contact email, stating this pertains to one of your Advertisers.

Remember, all I did was call them to clean my carpets!

They came to our house and tried to upsell us right away with more than twice the base pay. I said No. After reading the reviews, I'm glad I sent him on his way.

Guest

In Atlanta too and listen to WSB. Was thinking of calling them.

Now? No way. Are you listening ZeroRez?

Do you even care? Point is reputation is EVERYTHING

Guest

Huh? Why are you confusing the Mormon church with Zerorez?

They are not the same. But thanks to all the bad reviews!

-- I'm going to cancel my appointment. I started getting a bad feeling when I noticed they were trying to up-sell me on the phone.

Guest

I was ready to hire this company base on the TV ad, but decided to do some research first. Glad I did.

Based on this customer's review, I'll look for another company. Thanks.

Guest

The radio didn't recommend them they were paid to read the script. The Mormon church of zerorez is all about the money and taking advantage of sheep. Just enjoy the residue of the Lye residue they left behind which they clean with.

Microseal carpet rip off

I thought my carpets came out great. I listened to the spiel and watched the tech pour food coloring or something on a handheld piece of carpet then just rinse it out so I payed the extra $225 to have a large master and walk in done with the “1 time lasts forever “ microseal.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t work or apply to pet stains or barf because they’re different from coffee or wine. I would have thought the tech might have told me that up front since I had told him my biggest issue was with pet stains.

This I found out when I called a month and a half after I’d had them out to clean my carpets.

So, I’m bummed. I would have them clean carpets again but not get sucked into the high priced “1 time lasts forever” sealing product.

Up charging!

Signed up for the March special 5 rooms $199 and stairs $69 - after the work was done I was charged $884!!! They didn't move the furniture - rushed through the cleaning and I had to ask him to go over an area a couple more times! Very disappointed.

Cleaning good but beware of pricing

prices excessive - area rug cleaned on 4-4-17 for $20.00 ; charged $120.00 on 12-8-18 for same area run (same service code) also charged for 13 each steps when there are only 9 steps + landing. on 4-4-17 stairs charged $2.00 each; on 12-8-18 same stairs charged at $5.00 a stair for 13 stairs not what actually have 9 stairs.

Be ware - advertised specials quickly turn into a bill of $500.00 - will contact other carpet steam cleaning service.

Zerozez is a joke

They came to clean our carpeting 2x - after the first time our house smelled like we emptied our vacuum canister all over our house. Didn’t smell like that before.....after second “cleaning” we had the manager come to our house.

He blamed the smell on our dog. He is an idiot.....our house never ever had a musty smell. Borrowed parents residential carpet cleaner...omg....they cleaned 2x and it looked like the Mississippi River!

Save your money....they suck. Sad that I am in advertising and hear ads and want to support companies but when companies don’t stand by their products or hide behind the BBB, the public needs to be informed.

Zerorez rip off!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Clean carpet- not really. Cleaner than before but still not clean.

Discount- nope. Added an upcharge to the invoice then discounted it. Ends up being the same over priced amount. Still over $180 to sort of clean my tiny apartment carpets?

Rude customer service on top of that! No thanks & never again!

Pushy Upsell

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Was given a quote of $130 to clean carpet from Zerorez Nashville. Guy was in the house less than 5 minutes, and pushed upsell of over several hundred dollars.

Seriously, he walked in and said our hardwood floors looked dull and we are doing it all wrong. He said he would do the hardwood floors (which we didn't ask for) for $200. Then, he said after he cleans the carpet, it will strip the protective coating off and we would be vulnerable to staining - unless he added more coating for $120. Then he said we had "invisible" pet stains that would ruin our carpet and stink up the house - unless he treated them for another $200.

Then he was supposed to clean our dryer vent for $75, but said he couldn't do it unless he went up on the roof (whaaatt??) and wanted another $600!! I was at work, but talked to him on the phone and told him I didn't appreciate him pushing my wife with upsells. He denied he was upselling. Then, he called his boss, with my wife in the room, and complained to his boss about me!

What the heck? What kind of nerve.

The guy is lucky I wasn't home. I would have thrown him out by his neck!

DON'T USE THEM

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Scheduling service was easy and efficient, also receive an email and an appointment confirming my appointment. Attendant arrived within the scheduled time and was very professional.

However the cleaning capabilities were lacking, and he was pushy on selling additional services like pet stain removing which I purchased four pet stain removing at $60 per stain. Had to call again within a few week, because most of the stains were back. Took day off from work, moved my stuff around again. And 1 week later the stains are back.

Customer service manager is unhelpful and extremely defensive.

Asked for my money back, told me they had done all they could for my carpet. Called headquarters, left multiple messages but no one has returned my calls.
